Swiss Banks Establish Independant Commission For Reclaiming Holocaust Era Jewish Accounts and Assets

New York- Historical precident:
The Association of Swiss banks announced in New York that it establishes a special Independent commission on the issue of reclaiming the Jewish accounts and assets of the Holocaust Era.
The Jewish Appointees to the committee are as follows:
- Shevah Weiss
Speaker, Israeli Knesset - Avraham Burg
Chairman, Jewish Agency - Reuben Beraja
Chairman, Latin American Jewish Congress
The Swiss Banker Appointees are:
- Professor Alain Hirsch, Geneva
- Professor Klaus Jacobi, Bern. Former Ambassador to USA
- Professor Curt Gagteyger, Geneva
The good news for heirs of holocaust victims seeking to recover their seized assets was presented by the President of the World Jewish Congress - Edgar Bronfman, the Chairman of the Jewish Agency Avraham Burg and representatives of the Swiss Banks.
