"Netanyahu's Economic Plan"

Bibi Netanyahu, Israel's Minister of Finance, has to challenge the problems of the Israeli economy in a period of war, huge defense/military security costs, shrinking of the Israeli market inside and abroad, growing rate of unemployment and low level of tourism and investments in the Israeli economy. There are some positive developments: The new relations with India.

Bibi launched a four year economic plan: 1. Helping the consumers, reducing prices of basic commodities such as milk; 2. Reducing government spending - 2.2 billion cut; 3. Reducing the public sector employment. Critics believe that Bibi is too modest; 4. Reducing the scope of foreign workers in Israel: 300,000! Israel would like to deport them all. It will hopefully reduce the rate of Israeli unemployment.
