Hadassah To Send Aid To Kosovo's Refugees

To help the ailing Kosovan refugees, Hadassah is sending desperately needed medicine, medical supplies and medical equipment to region hospitals and the Israel Defense Forces' field hospital in Skopje, Macedonia. The first shipment was sent from Israel today, part of a plane-load of eight tons of supplies.

Checks to assist in the Kosovo relief effort can be sent to the Hadassah Emergency Relief Fund, General Post Office, POB 26035, New York, NY 10087-6035.

Among the Israel Defense Forces medical teams, there are two Jerusalem-based Hadassah Medical Organization physicians: Prof. Yoel Donchin, an anesthesiologist and Prof. Dan Engelhartt, of the Department of Pediatrics. Most recently, Prof. Donchin assisted the relief efforts in Kenya.
