Israel Day Parade 2026: Proud Americans, Proud Zionists

More than 50,000 marchers and spectators came to celebrate Israel on Sunday May 31, 2026 for the annual Israel Day Parade, one of New York’s largest.

Leading the parade was Israel’s Consul General in New York, Ofir Akunis, Israel’s United Nations Ambassador, Danny Danon, over a dozen Members of the Knesset coming direct from Israel, and parade sponsors JCRC-NY, and UJA-Federation. Also showing solidarity with the State of Israel were New York’s political luminaries, Governor Kathy Hochul, NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, NYS Attorney General Leticia James, Senator Chuck Schumer, Members of Congress, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, members of the NYS Senate, NYS Assembly, NYC Council, City Council Speaker Julie Menin, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch and representatives of major Jewish organizations.

No show Mayor Mamdani, an avowed Israel hater, broke with tradition and boycotted the parade making the decision that riding his bicycle took precedence over showing respect for the one million Jewish residents of New York.

Jewish organizations, schools, parents of the victims of 10/7, a contingent of Consul Generals representing countries around the world, Muslims for Israel, Chinese-Americans for Israel, Mummers from Philadelphia and throngs of Proud New Yorkers and Proud Zionists marched up Fifth Avenue to show their love for the State of Israel.
