"Simon Wiesenthal Center To Open In New York"

A new Simon Wiesenthal Center New York Tolerance Center was established recently in New York City at 226 East 42nd Street.

Top City and State elected officials will attend the opening of the Simon Wiesenthal Center New York Tolerance Center, a professional development and training facility modeled after the successful Tool for Tolerance Program at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. The Tolerance Center provides participants with an intense educational and experiential day-long training program. Through interactive workshops, exhibits, and videos, participants including educators, law enforcement officials, the corporate community and government employees - explore issues of prejudice, diversity, tolerance, and cooperation in the workplace and the community.

The dignitaries scheduled to attend include:

� Alon Pinkas, Israeli Consul General
� Jeanine Pirro, Westchester County District Attorney
� Sheldon Silver, State Assembly Speaker
