Hitler Shrine in Obersalzberg

In a photo taken recently by an American tourist to the Eagle's Nest in the German/Bavarian Alps is a shrine to Hitler. Created by Neo-Nazis on the site of the ruin of "Berghof" - the former residence of Adolph Hitler in Obersalzberg - the Nazi compound and alternative headquarters during the years 1933-1945.

The shrine consists of a round stone border, inside which grow flowers. In addition: A candle and a stone Swastika.

Attempts by local guided tours operators to alert the Bavarian Authorities - who own the site and are responsible for its condition - to remove the disgusting symbol, were unanswered. There was, simply, no response at all.
